The Hygiene Forum launches a network of experts and strengthens its position as a central point of contact for hygiene issues

Experienced experts from various specialist areas are now available as direct contacts on Hygieneforum.ch. The aim of this network is to bring together specialised knowledge, years of experience and practical solutions in one place to make it as easy as possible for companies, institutions and individuals to access specialist advice.

Why an expert network?

In times of growing demands on hygiene and quality assurance, both in the healthcare sector and in industry, catering, facility management and other areas, fast and direct access to expert knowledge is becoming increasingly important. Legal requirements, increasing quality demands and the pressure for sustainable optimisation make it necessary to fall back on sound advice. The Hygiene Forum responds to this with a network of leading experts from various disciplines.

Simon Beyer – Cytostatic Removal & CleanTech Innovations (Enzler Hygiene AG): As Managing Director of Enzler Hygiene AG, he is shaping the transformation towards a sustainable, digitalised service company. His experience as an international strategy consultant makes him a driving force for sustainable hygiene services and CleanTech innovations.

René Böhmerle – Infection prevention (B&B Hygieneberatung GmbH): With his many years of experience in the hospital sector (intensive care unit, IMC, anaesthesia) and his qualification as an infection prevention expert with a federal diploma, he advises institutions on the implementation of safe hygiene concepts.

Gerhard Eich – Hospital hygiene (former Zurich City Hospital): Gerhard Eich is the former Head of Infectiology, Hospital Hygiene and Personal Medicine at Zurich City Hospital and was President of the Swiss Society for Hospital Hygiene (2009-2014). With his many years of experience and commitment, he has established himself as a prominent figure in the Swiss healthcare system.

Dominic Grüniger – Building Cleaning Concepts (Kärcher AG): As Specialist Building Care & Cleaning Consulting at Kärcher, Dominic Grüniger is an expert in building cleaning and cleaning concepts. He has been involved in building cleaning, specialised cleaning and cleaning concepts in various functions since 2007.

Seongjin Lee Trabandt – GMP & Quality Assurance (Enzler Reinigungen AG): Seongjin Lee Trabandt specialises in quality assurance in cleanroom cleaning under GMP. In addition to cleaning validation, her expertise also includes the training and technical instruction of employees in this area.

Peter Kunz – Building Cleaning & Personnel Management (Gareba GmbH): Peter Kunz has in-depth and practice-orientated knowledge of cleaning technology and has experience in research and development in the chemical industry. In addition, he was responsible for the organisation and implementation of inter-company courses on behalf of Allpura (employers’ association of building service providers) for more than 15 years. He also teaches cleaning technology and personnel management in basic and higher vocational training and for many years ran the preparatory courses for the vocational and higher professional examinations for caretakers. Peter Kunz manages projects in the field of building cleaning and is the author and co-author of various teaching materials on cleaning and personnel management.

Thomas Leiblein – Water and Drinking Water Hygiene (ewah AG): Thomas Leiblein combines expertise in hygiene, infection prevention and risk management. With an MSc in Life Sciences and a PhD in Legionella prevention in hospitals, he has in-depth knowledge of water safety management. His professional career includes the management of water hygiene projects and the development of practical solutions.

Hervé Pedrosa – ESD & Cleanroom Technology (abovo AG): With his in-depth experience in the fields of electrostatic discharge (ESD) and cleanroom technology, he provides comprehensive and practical advice to customers in the industry. Thanks to his expertise, he provides companies with targeted support in the selection of consumables that also have to fulfil strict requirements for ESD protection and cleanroom suitability.

Irina Pericin Häfliger – Cleaning & Textile Management (ZHAW): As a lecturer and consultant at the Institute for Facility Management at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), Irina Pericin Häfliger specialises in the management of cleaning and textile services. With her extensive knowledge of facility management and organisational development, she focuses on the optimal integration of the needs of individuals and organisations. Her passion for facility management inspires her to contribute to the continuous development of her field through targeted teaching programmes and specialist publications.

Melanie Rieser – Kitchen Hygiene (Diversey Switzerland): Melanie Rieser has a scientific background and has been with Diversey/Solenis since 2018. She is an expert in kitchen hygiene and infection prevention. She has been working in the field of kitchen hygiene for all European countries since 2023.

Roman Schläpfer – Air Hygiene, Healthcare Construction & Cleanroom Technology (SwissCCS): As President of SwissCCS and as a member of the VDI Technical Committee for Cleanroom Technology, the German Society for Hospital Hygiene and numerous other professional associations, Roman Schläpfer is actively involved in the further development of standards and industry-wide networking.

Martin Stähelin – Standards Knowledge & Standards (SNV): Martin Stähelin has headed the SNV Academy since 2022 and has also been responsible for marketing, communication and member management since May 2025. As a business economist FH with an MAS in Human Capital Management (ZHAW), he combines specialist knowledge with a flair for people and education. His aim is to communicate standards in an understandable, practical and relevant way – and at the same time to raise awareness of their importance and the attractiveness of working in standardisation.

David Thöny – Cleaning Chemicals (Wetrok AG): David Thöny has been working as a development manager for cleaning chemicals and technical products for over 10 years. He has in-depth knowledge of ingredients, product properties and formulations, as well as the classification and labelling of cleaning agents. Thanks to his involvement with the Swiss Soap, Perfume and Detergent Association (SEPAWA Switzerland), he is well connected professionally and follows market developments closely.
