The course is aimed at people who want to learn the basics of cleaning and protective treatments for stone and other mineral surfaces indoors and outdoors and at people with practical experience in this area in order to expand their theoretical and practical experience.

Content

In this course, you will learn about the properties of stone and other mineral surfaces. We will show you how to clean and prime these materials correctly and protect them from environmental and biological influences.

The course includes:

• Materials science of stone and mineral surfaces
• Standards for the cleaning and care of stone and mineral façades
• Cleaning agents mineral facades
• Cleaning, moss, mold, algae control, impregnation and pore filling agents
• Occupational safety
• Removal of moss, algae and mould on stones and mineral surfaces
• Work processes for professional basic cleaning indoors and outdoors
• Cement residue removal on floor coverings
• Impregnation and pore filling indoors and outdoors

METHODOLOGY

Presentations, discussions, exchange of experience, demonstrations and practical work by participants on floor coverings and façade samples (work clothing required).
